Written Words Bookstore is a full-service, independent, community bookstore in Shelton, CT. We carry books for all interests and ages, along with greeting cards, bookmarks, and select gift items. We’ve been open since June 2007, meeting the book needs of Shelton, its neighbors, and beyond.
But we’re more than just books! Our store has become a community gathering place with workshops, author signings, and now even knitting and foreign language classes! Unlike a faceless conglomerate on the Internet or in a strip mall, we provide a warm, friendly environment with a helpful staff ready to go the extra mile.
Our regular store hours are:

Monday through Saturday – 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Sunday – 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
